District One Archives Committee – Pinellas County Florida

Bill Wilson Founder of Alcoholics Anonymous
The mission of the District 1 Archives Committee is to document the work of Alcoholics Anonymous by collecting and preserving historical material relating to District 1.We meet the third Saturday of every month at 1:30 pm at the Alano Club which is located at: Dolphin Village 4615 Gulf Blvd. Suite #112 St. Pete Beach, FL 33706Like any other A.A. service, the primary purpose of those involved in archival work is to carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous. Archives service work is more than mere custodial activity, it is the means by which we collect, preserve and share the rich and meaningful heritage of our fellowship. It is by the collection and sharing of these important historical elements that our collective gratitude for Alcoholics Anonymous is deepened. Please remember the District One Archives Committee is available for displays at your Holiday or Anniversary Meetings. Keep in mind these Archives belong to YOU and to all of the members of Pinellas County AA. When we bring the display, you have a wonderful opportunity for learning the beginnings of AA and teaching your newer members how we have grown. We are happy to give a historical talk or set up a display for fun!
